DBACKS VS DODGERS 8/14/09

This is really late, so it's gonna be short, and just one picture. I started off in Friday's, but didn't get anything. I had bought a season ticket, so I could get in 1/2 hour early. I found #1 and #2 when I ran in as easter eggs. Then I got Blaine Boyer, a ballboy, Ryan Roberts, and Clay ZAvada to toss me balls in the rest of the Dbacks bp. I got a trainer to also throw me # 7 above their dugout. I got NOTHING during the dodgers bp other than Brad Ausmus auto on my hat. Before the game started, there had been very nice DODGERWIN stamped baseballs laying in the DBACKS bullpen. This was the last time I would see the dodgers this year, and I really wanted one of them, but Glenn Sherlock threw me one of the four baseballs in the bullpen, and it happened to be the only one without a stamp on it. I was dissapointed. I almost left the gamke after being kicked out by 4 different ushers above both dugouts. If they weren't so annoying, I could've probably broken my record of twelve I had set that monday. Nothing during the game, but I remembered their was a DODGERWIN stamped ball behind a foot wide screen in the bullpen against the DBACKS bullpen. I ran to the outfield side of the bullpen, near the foulpole as other fans got ready for the fireworks. There was a spanish family trying to get it already, but I was the first to see it land there during bp. They were on top of where u can walk through the small space in the bullpen, and I was directly above the ball, about five feet in against the bullpen wall on top of the ball. Two groundskeepers were working, and we were shouting to get his attention. He looke at us and walked towards the ball. YES! He wasn't going to slid through, he was just going to squeeze his hand underneath and grab the ball. I need to get this one. He looked up @ me and the family a few feet away. And then.....................................................................................................................................

He threw it to me. The stamp is awesome, and I left. The final ball of my trip. I was happy, and that was my ninth ball of the day.

BTW, the reason that I got shutout during Dodgers bp, other than the fact the Dodgers were being stingy, is that it was packed. The dodgers drew a big crowd. I probably would have caught a few Manny homeruns, if it was like the other days I were there. I definatly wouldve had atleast one Andre Ethier bp homerun in right field while I was there if it wasn't packed. HE was beastly, hitting atleast twenty homers during bp.
